A bright day was awaited by us at Baghdogra Airport. After a pleasant drive of 4 hours we reached Gangtok. Small twinkling lights over the hill and blowing winds made a refreshing welcome drink for us.

We stayed overnight in a cozy cottage in Gangtok.

Pitter Patter rain drops worked as our alarm and clouds near our window pane became our perfect morning partner.

Jackets..Camera and action..!!! Jhippppp jhappppp jhoooom our red swift became our roller coaster ride for  the day.

An early morning start of the day because we had to pack our bags for Nathula Pass(14420 Ft). It is 54 kms from Gangtok and takes around 3 hours to reach. Snake like swirling roads , chilling winds and breathtaking views that marks this side of Sikkim.

On the way to Nathula Pass we took a hault at Tsomgo Lake.. This is the first time we experienced snow in Sikkim. Snow capped mountains , Blue waters , Hovering colorful flags , Snowhite yaks and shutter sounds surrounded us.!!

Then the route diverted for Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir , Brave Army Man who has a secret story behind.

Someone has rightly said “When you are in Rome eat what Romans eat & I say When you are in Sikkim eat what Sikkimese eat.”

Rain and cool breeze with hot Momos and spicy Red chilly garlic sauce at Mall road is what calls for a perfect Savory on hills.

Go to a local restaurant & try Thukpa, A local dish with hot veggies in noodle soup which is a Bon Apetit for foodies.

I have left a part of my heart in Sikkim and that’s the reason this place calls me over and over. This was my 3rd Excursion to Sikkim and another one will follow soon.
